Naisip ko na once in a while magpopost ako dito ng tagalog blog ( or tag-lish pala). Enjoy reading!

Yes, I usually have a lot of questions ready in mind before the appointments but it´s worth to ask, at possible din sila tawagan if something comes up na very important.

Lalo na if may toddler na takbo dito takbo doon (admit it, we cant put a toddler sitting just in one place, we actually need 4 hands with them sometimes and eyes around our head, di ba?). Pero if we have questions, we need professionals para masagot mga importanteng bagay na related sa health ng ating mga anak o kaya minsan it´s easier to read booklet given by them kahit na during times na pinapatulog natin mga anak natin.

Anyway, here is top 5 what are very important na natutunan ko na I think worth to share. Note, I am neither a nurse nor a doctor but this I learned from professionals and I strictly followed.

  2. Salt o Asin – This I was surprised to know na ang babies pala were born with immature kidneys until the age of 2 kaya hindi advisable na bigyan ng salt ang baby under 1. Hindi kayang iprocess nila ang extra salt. How much more ang mga extra preservatives sa foods. So its really a big no no sa mga processed food din like sausages and hotdogs sapagkat processed food has very high amount of hidden salt.
  3. Fresh cows milk o Gatas ng baka – Dito sa Finland, its common to have fresh milk sa bahay. Dairy product is part of daily diet, kasi its source of calcium and D-vitamins too. You can have three common options, fat free, reduced fat milk and whole milk. Pero there is higher amount of protein daw that is not good for baby under 1. Besides, if they are taking more of cows milk, ang ibang nutrients na needed nila sa edad nila ay di nila makukuha from there so if hindi na breastmil ang baby, better give the formula milk.
  4. Liver food – Any liver food / pate /paste ay ipinagbabawal sa batang under 1 kasi it containes high vitamin A. Itong vitamins pala na ito ay nakakapagcause din ng liver failure na delikado lalo na sa mga bata.
  5. Sugar o Asukal– Not only na masisira ngipin nila but also this will give them too much energy but low nutrients kaya hindi healthy. So dahil dyan, I never gave my kids ng kahit na anong juice, cakes, candies or any sweets under 1.

Maaring napapaisip kayo, ang dami naming bawal, ano nalang ipakain natin sa mga anak natin lalo na at age of 6 months we are introducing them to solid foods. Here is my tip, you can cook same food as your baby but before you add any pampalasa, separate nyo na agad ang para sa kanila. Believe me, they can survive without those lasa in their diet yet. They wouldn’t even know what food with salt tastes and what does candy or sweet taste, unless they already tried it, then there is no turning back. They will not anymore accept any walang gaanong lasa na food.

We moms are responsible to what food we give to our kids, this is only my experience and sharing some informations na natutunan ko. I don´t force anyone na ifollow to, just some information and giving positive vibes BUT as mom we always wants the best for them and wants them to grow up healthy. Hope this is worth reading.
